2,500 Mile Road Trip for RNLI.

To celebrate John Newson’s 60th Birthday on 27th June, this Summer he set off on his unrestored 1954 Series C Vincent Rapide 1000cc motorcycle to John O’Groats, down to Land’s End and finally home! What an amazing thing to complete to mark your 60th Birthday!

He hoped to complete the trip in 12 days, covering approximately 2,500 miles. All the while covering his own expenses and raising funds for the RNLI at Rye Harbour. He completed to trip in 13 days, unsupported, which is fantastic considering he had a mechanical fault on the original bike near Manchester, was recovered to Stone, then set off again on a different one!

He raised a total of £4,040 for the RNLI. Well done John!
